Another claim to fame - Wisconsin is the "Cheese Capital of the Nation".
Wisconsin is a state of many firsts! Wisconsin was the first state to have unemployment insurance and worker's compensatio, the first state to use numbers to mark the highways, the first state to pass the safety belt law, the first state to have a state income tax, and the first state to abolish the death penalty for convicted criminals. On, Wisconsin! On, Wisconsin!
Grand old badger state!
We, thy loyal sons and daughters,
Hail thee, good and great.

God will give thee might!"
